Reviews of Chenrezig Institute

Went and stayed for a course over several weeks. The grounds are nice. The nuns are lovely. The monks are nice when they occasionally participate. The regular staff were nice. Unfortunately, the management (specifically Steve) is rude, pushy and has a personality entirely unsuitable for a Buddhist facility. I must say that his attitude and behaviour spoiled the visit for me. Would not recommend.

Buildings are very old and rundown, food was ok though the stuffed capsicums are not my fav. Nice temple and garden but not much dharma, staffed by volunteers and few paid, customer service is not best.

Delicious vegetarian lunch at `Big Love' cafe and life changing teachings in the Gompa.

Almost exclusively run by volunteers, local and international, with excellent vegetarian food and delicious cakes, and last but not least the courses offered for Buddhism, meditation and yoga are Excellent!

Everyone is so friendly and the monks are very helpful. The meditation was so relaxing and I felt incredibly energized for several hours afterwards
